The Author
STEPHEN KING was written more than fifty books, all of them worldwide bestsellers. His highly-acclaimed novels and story collections include Carrie, The Shining, The Stand, Misery, Bag of Bones, Full Dark, No Stars, Under the Dome and 11.22.63. He is also the author of seven Dark Tower fantasy novels and a wonderful non-fiction book On Writing.
Many of King's books have been turned into celebrated films, including Stand By Me, The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption.
He was the recipient of the 2003 National Book Foundation Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters. He lives with his wife, novelist Tabitha King, in Maine.
